Despatch Industries, a leading technology and equipment provider for the solar industry, and Nice Sun PV Co., Ltd, a company committed to the R&D, manufacturing, sales and after-service of solar photovoltaic products, announce that Nice Sun has realized a 0.1 percent improvement in overall cell efficiency in high volume production through the use of Despatch’s patent-pending SolectFire™ technology. Nice Sun and Despatch have partnered to demonstrate the benefits of SolectFire™ for manufacturing Nice Sun’s most advanced 18.8% efficiency monocrystalline solar cells.

SolectFire™ is Despatch’s most recent CF Series advancement and is available on new firing furnaces and as an upgrade to existing CF Series equipment. New SolectFire™ technology opens the firing process window and gives the operator control of the top and bottom of each firing zone. Each side of the cell can also be fired at different temperatures. The innovative decoupling technology allows solar cell manufacturers to make specific adjustments and modifications to their firing profiles to accommodate different types of pastes and cell architectures. SolectFire™ provides ultimate control and flexibility in optimizing firing performance and results in producing higher efficiency cells.
