KLNE is increasing its presence within the Australian solar industry by opening a new office in Melbourne. The office was officially unveiled on May 26 at an event attended by KLNE CEO Lancy Yu, sales director Wison Qi and marketing director Paul Nicholson, Also present were representatives from the economic and trade section of the Chinese Embassy, the Bank of China and guests from the PV industry.
The official ribbon cutting was preceded by speeches from Lancy Yu, Wison Qi and a spokesman from the Chinese Embassy. After the official ribbon cutting was performed, guests enjoyed the food and drinks at the reception.
Located at Unit 132, Axxess Corporate Park, 45 Gilby Road in Mount Waverley, the two storey building has offices, warehouse space and unit testing facilities. It will function as a service centre and technical back up facility for Australia. Qualified engineers will be on hand to assist customers. It will also serve as the contact point for all Australian warranty enquiries and administration centre for the KLNE extended warranty programme.
CEO Lancy Yu said, "This is a sign of our long term commitment to the Australian market. We feel that PV has a strong future in Australia so it's only natural that we want our own people here. Local contact is very important. KLNE intends to keep growing in Australia in co-operation with our business partners. We've done a lot of business in Australia and intend to do much more."
Wison Qi added, "After sales service is an area where we intend to excel and for that reason we need premises and staff here. As more and more units are sold, the service aspect becomes very important. People want to know that if anything does goes wrong, there is local help available and available quickly. Our centre here will provide that comfort."
