China-based Upsolar diversifies its high quality components for Solar PV Modules

Paris, France.--September 18, 2009— In the process of continuously increasing its solar modules’ quality, Upsolar tests and inspects new materials and components in its own laboratory in Shanghai.
In line with this process, Upsolar has now decided to offer its customers the possibility to buy solar modules not only with Tyco, but also with Huber+Suhner junction boxes.

Together with its very efficient protection against water ingress (IP67), Swiss HUBER+SUHNER junction boxes have all the properties required to be in compliance with the US and European standards: high electrical insulation, strong resistance to environmental constraints (temperature, moisture, UV, chemical aggression), low conductors electrical resistance, good method of installation and connection and bring a new added value to Upsolar’s client.

Since Upsolar’s launch in 2006, the company has grown rapidly, with over 60 MW shipped in 2008 and revenues of $165 million Euros, which the company expects to double by the end of 2009 by delivering 120 MW. Upsolar estimates sustained growth in 2010.
