Docter Optics is the international market and technology leader in molded optical components with complex surface geometries or regular contours. Special process technology developed by Docter Optics is clearly superior to the conventional technology used to produce such components and is especially suitable for high-volume production.
Docter Optics offers a range of services along the entire value chain, including everything from co-development to industrial-scale production and after-market support. When it comes down to the bottom line, Docter Optics gives clients access to the resources it takes for economic development and production of custom solutions.
The company's Automotive Solutions division ships over 20 million aspheres and free-form lenses per year for projection headlights intended for the European, Asian and American markets.
The Precision Glass Components division produces optical components such as light pipes (concentrators) for advanced Concentrated Photovoltaics (CPV) systems in large runs using a process that makes it possible to mold the glass as soon as it leaves the furnace. The Precision Fast-Molding process developed by Docter Optics permits production of optical components for high-end medical and analytical equipment or illumination/LED applications.
The Optical Systems division partners with companies worldwide when it comes to the development, production and assembly of customer-specific optical, optomechanical and optoelectronic subassemblies for a host of applications ranging from biometrics and security technology to medical equipment or industrial image processing. In addition, this division produces the Tevidon, Stilar and Auto-Tessar lenses developed by Docter Optics.
The Docter Optics Express Glass Services division is the choice of preference of the international optical industry when it comes to the production of semi-finished products, components and prototypes of optical and synthetic glass or quartz.
In addition to production facilities in Germany, Docter Optics has locations in the Czech Republic, the United States, Japan and China.
